I was not aware of Tony’s passing until late last night and if I had known sooner, I would have attended his services today. I first met Tony Massini 71 years ago. He was a friend that I admired and respected. Tony was a special person to everyone that knew him. Ann, his children and grandchildren and great grand children were blessed to have such a remarkable man in their lives. I am sorry for your loss.

I was a student of Tony’s at Yale, 1996-1998. At his lab, I had my very first espresso, and what he taught me has influenced so much of what I’ve done professionally in the last two decades. I tried tracking him down through Yale a few months ago, with no success – I wish I could have told him all of this in-person. I thank Tony for his guidance and generosity at Yale, which has benefited so many generations of students. My prayers and condolences to his family and friends.
Sincere prayers and sympathy for you and your family. So sorry for your loss.
