Anthony “Tony” Pittari, 88, of Wallingford, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 22, 2021, at Whitney Rehabilitation Care Center. He was the beloved husband of Josephine Franco Pittari for 42 years. He was born in New Haven on April 16, 1933.He served his country honorably in the US army during the Korean War. He worked for the State of CT in the Dept. of Transportation in research and planning for over 40 years retiring in 1992. Anthony was especially known for his unwavering friendship and kindness to many people.Survivors include his wife, Josephine, brother-in-law Angelo (Jacklynn) Franco and many nieces and nephews.
A private memorial service has been entrusted to The Havens Family, North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue.
