Anthony V. Acanfora, 58, of North Haven, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, January 4, 2022, at his home. He was born in New Haven on June 6, 1963 and was the son of the late Vincent and Ersie Lowe Acanfora. Both parents were proud US Marines, and his mother was North Haven Police Officer for many years. Anthony’s greatest passion was working on his many cars. Known to help anyone at any time, Anthony will be greatly missed by his friends, Jim Owler, Angelo Appi Jr., and many others. Anthony is survived by his brother, John Acanfora, a nephew John Michael (Samantha) Acanfora, and sister-in-law, Elise Esposito.
Private funeral services have been entrusted to The Havens Family, North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 260 Conchituate Road #200, Framingham, MA 01701.

Our VCH, Veterans Coffee House meets monthly at the Wlfd Senior Center which not only gives our Vets the chance to socialize but also take part in enjoying a guest speaker which are related to military topics, slide presentations and Q&A. At this very difficult time, our group would like to honor the loss of Anthony Acanfora as a fallen brother. Our military Veterans send out their heartfelt condolences to the Acanfora family and friends. As an Marine Veteran and Police Officer, he had joined an elite group of honorable men and our Country will forever be in his debt.

I just became aware of Tony’s passing. I knew Tony in high school. We had a lot of good times playing with our cars.
