Antoinette (Toni) DePalma Riggi, age 92, beloved wife of Anthony P. Riggi for 71 years, passed away on August 24, 2022 with her family by her side. Born on January 23, 1930 in White Plains, NY, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Rosina (Massaro) DePalma who immigrated to the US through Ellis Island. A 1948 graduate of Nott Terrace High School in Schenectady, NY.  She was employed at the Bellevue Maternity Home in Niskayuna, NY throughout high school and until moving to North Haven in 1964.  In North Haven she had the pleasure of being employed as a Para for the North Haven Board of Education at Clintonville Elementary School for 25 years, retiring in 1999.  Antoinette was a parishioner of St. Francis Cabrini Church since its inception, where she taught CCD, served on the Parish Council, and was a long-time member of the choir under the direction of Mary Ludovico.  Being at the Vatican when St. Faustina was canonized and kissing the ring of St. Pope John Paul II were among her most treasured moments. Beside her husband she is survived by her devoted daughters Dr. (honoris causa)Paula (A. Curtis) Singer, Andrea (Anthony) Scafariello, and Sabrina (Joseph) Fioretto; and granddaughters Dr. Regina (David) Moriarty, Natalie (Joseph) Benigno, Audrey Marie & Grace Antoinette Fioretto , and great grandchildren Guiliana Rose & Talia Maria Benigno and David Anthony Moriarty, her brother Dr. Anthony (Joan) DePalma, as well as special godchildren, nieces, and nephews.  She was predeceased by sisters Phyllis Bednarowski, Mary Popolizio and her brother Pat DePalma.

The visiting hours will be Sunday, August 28th from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at The Havens Family North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Elizabeth of the Trinity Parish at St. Frances Cabrini Church, 57 Pond Hill Road, North Haven on Monday morning, August 29th at 10:00.  Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
