Antonio Iatomasi, 84 of Hamden beloved husband of Eleonora Pacelli Iatomasi passed away on January 20th 2018.  He was born on October 3, 1933 in San Salvatore, Telesino, Benevento Italy to the late Marino and Alfonsina Cutillo Iatomasi.  Along with his wife, he is survived by his loving daughters Alfonsina “Allie” (Frank) Squeglia of North Haven and Marina (Mario) Ciccarini of Hamden and his grandchildren, Frank, Veronica, and Anthony Squeglia, and Marissa, Alyssa, Sophia, and Michael Ciccarini.  He also leaves to mourn his passing two sisters, Giuseppina Iannucci, Carmela (Ludovico) Saudella and a brother Giovanni (Maria) Iatomasi in Italy and a sister in law Nicolette Muto.   He was predeceased by a sister, Angela Franco, his brother in laws Giuseppe Franco, Luigi Iannucci, Raffaele Muto and two nephews Pasquale and Luigi Franco in Italy.  He also leaves many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.  He was a loving husband to his wife of over 49 years.  A hard working, devoted family man, adored by his daughters.  He was blessed with seven grandchildren who he spoiled and dotted on to his last day.  He enjoyed and spent his leisure time gardening, making his wine and Italian cured meats.  He had an amazing sense of humor and would spend hours sharing wisdom and stories his father passed down to him to his family.  He leaves behind a lifetime of traditions and memories for all of his family to cherish and share.

His funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, Wednesday morning at 9:30. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Therese Church at 10:00. Entombment will follow in the All Saints Mausoleum.  The visiting hours will be Tuesday from 4 to 7 pm.
