Antonio Pietro Esposito, 77, of North Haven, passed away peacefully on August 22, 2023, at his home with his loving family by his side. He was the beloved husband of 49 years to Carmela Aschettino Esposito. Antonio was born in Moschiano, Province of Avellino, Italy on June 29, 1946, and was the son of the late Atlante and Carmela Volino Esposito. He immigrated to America in 1975 on the SS Michelangelo. Antonio worked for the Town of North Haven for 25 years and for O.F. Mossberg & Son for 40 years. When he wasn’t working, he enjoyed tending to his garden, jarring his tomatoes for sauce, making wine, traveling to his home country, and spending time with his family, which is what mattered most to him. The loving and devoted father of Luca (Christine) Esposito, Carmela (Eric) Roy, and Cristina (Zach) Humphrey. Loving and devoted Nonno to Luca and Dominic Esposito, Colton, Elyse, Valentina and Santino Roy, Antonio, and Luciano Humphrey. He is survived by his brother Giuseppe (Caterina) Esposito, and his sisters Antonietta (Carmine) Buonaiuto and Bionda (Mario) Dalia. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews both here and in Italy. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Lisa Jacobs, and Antonio’s entire care team.
The visiting hours will be Monday, August 28th from 8 to 9:30 AM at The Havens Family, North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Elizabeth of the Trinity Parish at St. Barnabas Church, 44 Washington Avenue, North Haven at 10:00. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
