Arthur G. Kohloff, 86, of New Haven, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 30th, 2021, at his home with his family by his side.  He was the beloved husband of 62 years to the late Lorraine C. Begina Kohloff.  Art was born in New Haven on November 22, 1934 and was the son of the late Arthur E. and Mary Heenan Kohloff. He served his country faithfully in US Navy.  Art was a firefighter with the New Haven Fire Department for ten years and later was the owner/operator of A.K. Electric, Inc.  An avid coin collector, Art participated in many coin shows in the Annex, and was a member of the Sea Shore Treasure Hunters Club. Art enjoyed taking cruises and spending winters in Florida.  Father of Laura Flynn (Joseph), Retired BfdPD Detective Lieutenant Arthur J. Kohloff (Jennifer) and John W. Kohloff.  Grandfather of Courtney and Kurt Gaurseau, Timothy Hoppel and Stephen Hoppel. Great grandfather of Carter, Brody, Lilliana, and Collin.  Predeceased by his son-in-law Stephen Hoppel and daughter-in-law Bernadette Kohloff.

The visiting hours will be Monday, Oct. 4th from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at The Havens Family, North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Bernadette Church, New Haven on Tuesday morning, Oct. 5th at 11:00.  (Masks strictly required for all indoor services) Interment with full military honors will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery, West Haven.
