Arthur John Seamour “Art”, 80, of New Haven, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 20th, 2021, with his wife, Judy Seamour, by his side. Arthur was born in New Haven on March 6, 1941, and was the son of the late Stanley and Arlene Wheeler Seamour. He served his country proudly in the US Air Force, worked as a truck driver for American Linen, was a member of the Teamsters Local #443, and a lifelong Red Sox fan. Arthur was predeceased by his first wife Rhena Shea Seamour and was the loving father of Jon Seamour and the late Lynda Bolton. He is survived by his wife Judy, his son Jon and wife Denise, and three grandchildren, Jessica Bolton, and Lauren and Justin Seamour. He is also survived by his stepchildren Marcy, Joe, Frank, and David Casner along with 8 step grandchildren and 5 step great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank the staff of Yale-New Haven Hospital/St. Raphael campus for the exceptional care given to Art during his final moments.
Family and friends are invited to go directly to St. Pio of Pietralcina at Our Lady of Pompeii Church, 355 Foxon Road, East Haven on Saturday morning, July 31st at 10am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ronald McDonald House, 860 Howard Avenue, New Haven, CT 06519. Funeral services have been entrusted to The Havens Family, North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue.
