Laura J. D’Amato, 58, of Wallingford passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at the Connecticut Hospice, Branford with her family by her side. She was the wife of Jon MacFarlane. Laura was born in New Haven on August 27, 1956; daughter of the late Michael J. and Loretta A. DeMarco D’Amato. She had worked for Metropolitan and Nationwide Insurance, and later for Anthem Blue Cross. Laura enjoyed cooking and had a special love for animals. Sister of Rosalie (Dennis) Swanson and Michele ( William) Sobolewski. Daughter-in-law of Norma MacFarlane. Aunt of Matthew Swanson, Michael and Allison Sobolewski.
Her funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, Saturday morning at 10:30. Family and friends may call from 9:30 to 10:30 am. A Mass of Christian burial will follow in St. Frances Cabrini Church at 11:00. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. Should friend desire, memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Haven, Inc., 89 Mill Rd., North Haven, CT 06473.
There are no words. our love goes out to Rosalie & Dennis and Michele& Bill and their families. Laura is gone too soon. she was a wonderful person loved by all of us and will be missed in all our lives. May she rest in peace.

This is such a great loss of a wonderful cousin. I'll miss her smiling face and sense of humor at our family get togethers. God Bless all of you and remember you're in my prayers.
