Edward F. Cornell, Jr., 94, of Wallingford passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 27, 2014. He was a loving, faithful husband of 58 years to Mary Anne Cornell, who preceded him in death.   Born in West Haven on January 3, 1920; son of the late Edward F. Cornell, Sr. and Anna Kaufelds Cornell; obtained his BS degree in Pharmacy from UCONN and served his country faithfully in the US Navy during WW II as a Pharmacist Mate. Mr. Cornell was the owner and operator of the former Edward’s Pharmacy of West Haven and later worked as the senior pharmacist for ShopRite until his retirement. He was a model train and photography enthusiast. He is survived by his Son, Rev. Edward (Margaret) Cornell III, daughters, Barbara (Gerald) Hamper and Victoria (Edward) Robinson, three grandchildren Geoffrey Cornell (Michele Mahoney), Christopher (Tonya) Cornell and Carissa Orlando; and two great grandchildren, Tobias and Fiona Cornell. He was predeceased by his sisters Dorothy Hammel, Kathryn “Louise” Mahan and Mary “May” Cornell. A memorial service and celebration of his life will be conducted in the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, Saturday,  May 10th at 10:00 am. Family and friends may call from 9:00 am until time of service. Interment with full military honors will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
