Eileen R. Leary, 92, of Hamden passed away on Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at the CT Hospice, Branford. She was the wife of the late Leo F. Leary. Eileen was born in West Warwick, RI on February 23, 1922; daughter of the late George and Laura Baker Riley. Eileen loved to play the piano, she played for Village Voices and Bravo at Oronoque Village. She was also an avid reader and enjoyed quilting and sewing. Mother of Kathleen Finley, Daniel (Linda) Leary, Jane Henderson, Judith (Richard) Harkins, James Leary, Susan (Steve) Nelson, Patrick (Cindy) Leary and the late Michael Leary and John Leary. Also survived by 17 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Predeceased by sisters, Dorothy Ramsdell and Carolyn Thornton and sons-in-law, Clyde Henderson and David Finley.

 

Relatives and friends are invited to meet directly at St. Rita’s Catholic Church, Whitney Ave. Hamden, Saturday morning at 10 for a Mass of Christian burial and to attend committal services immediately following in St. Mary’s Cemetery. The visiting hours will be Friday from 4 to 8 PM in the North Haven Funeral Home 36 Washington Avenue.
