Wendy Lynn DelVecchio-Furtak, 51, of New Haven passed away Sunday, April 14, 2014 at her home. Fiancé of Mark Pagano. She was born in New Haven on September 23, 1962; daughter of Joseph J. and Patricia DelVecchio. She was a caring and loving mother. Mother of Roger and Jared Furtak, Megan and Veronica Kirby. Sister of Lawrence (Robin) DelVecchio, Joseph (Joann) DelVecchio, Jr. and Susanne (Thomas) Quinn.
Family and friends are invited to gather at the office of All Saints Cemetery, 700 Middletown Avenue, North Haven on Thursday at 10:00 am and follow the procession to the graveside for a service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wendy DelVecchio Fund, c/o Wells Fargo Bank, 80 Washington Avenue, North Haven, CT 06473.

I am saddened by this news. Wendy was my best friend at
Ridge Hill School, and I have memories of her that have not diminished over time. I can still hear her sweet voice and gentle laugh. My heart is grieved. I will be praying for your family.
