Larry Joe Unger, 72, of Durham, passed away on November 4, 2015 at his home. Larry was the beloved husband of the late Sandra Beach Unger. He was born in Longswamp Township, PA on November 27, 1942; son of the late Edgar A. and Agnes E. Tworkowski Unger. Larry served his country faithfully in the US Navy during the Vietnam War and worked as a mechanical engineer for Pratt & Whitney. Father of Karen L. Unger, David L. Unger and the late Michael Unger. Also survived by two grandsons, three brothers and two sisters. Predeceased by a sister.
A celebration of Larry’s life will take place in the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue on Saturday afternoon at 1:00 with full military honors to follow. There will be no visiting hours. Interment will be private in the Mica Hill Cemetery, Durham.
