Marie Annette Falcone, 97, formerly of Fallon Drive, North Haven, passed away peacefully on the morning of October 26, 2014 at her sons home in Killingworth surrounded by loved ones. She was the wife of the late Ernest V. Falcone. Mrs. Falcone was born in New Haven on July 15, 1917; daughter of the late Frank and Irene Longobardi Proto and had worked in the cafeteria for the North Haven School System. Mother of JoAnne Raccio (the late Frank Raccio, Sr.) and Ernest Falcone (Kathy). Grandmother of Lynn M. Raccio (Nicholas Francis), Michele DeFilippo (John), Frank Raccio (Lisa), Melissa Kish (Ryan) Todd Falcone (Asal) and Jeffrey Falcone (Tracy). Great-Grandmother of Dominic and Marlaina Francis, Anthony, Austin and Hayley DeFilippo, Ashley and Jenna Raccio, Colby and Tulip Kish, and Rider Falcone. Predeceased by a great-grandson, Calder Kish and her siblings, Antoine, Neal, and Frank Proto, Jr., Connie Bagnasco, Millie Cioffi and Ann DePalma. Marie always took such joy in being a grandmother and great-grandmother. The times she spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren always brought a smile to her face.
Her funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, Wednesday morning at 10:30. Family and friends may call from 9:00 to 10:30 am. A Mass of Christian burial will follow in St. Barnabas Church at 11:00 am. Entombment will follow in the All Saints Mausoleum.
