Elizabeth Lawson, 98, of Branford, formerly of Spring Road, North Haven passed away Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at the Laurel Woods, East Haven. She was the wife of the late Richard C. Lawson. Elizabeth was born in New Haven on August 23, 1915; had worked for SNET Company for many years until her retirement; was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America and a former member of the Branford Senior Center. Mother of Carol (James) Hunter, Georgianna Lawson and the late James A. Lawson. Also survived by four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her brothers Rudolph and Richard. The family would like to extend a special “Thank You” to all the nurses and staff at the Laurel Woods for the excellent care they provided to Elizabeth.
Private funeral services have been entrusted to the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
