Rose I. Palmisano, 94, of North Haven passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 17, 2015 at the Masonicare Health Center, Wallingford.  She was predeceased by her beloved husband of sixty-nine years, Joseph F. Palmisano.  Mother of Carol (Alan) Mayhew, Rita Evancha and Nancy Palmisano.  Grandmother of Lisa (Brian) Hynek, Eric (Amanda) Mayhew and Kristen Evancha.  Great –Grandmother of Jeremiah Hynek.  Sister of Anne D’Agostino and Mary Palmisano and of the late Betty DeCicco and Louise Ricciuti.  Also survived by several nieces and nephews.  Rose was born in New Haven on September 2, 1921, daughter of the late Joseph and Chiarina Criscuolo Ieva.  After graduating from high school and secretarial school she went on to work as a secretary, stenographer and medical transcriptionist at several area businesses. After retirement, Rose volunteered at the Connecticut Food Bank for many years and was an active parishioner of St. Therese Church.  She always contributed to the Midnight Run and other parish-sponsored activities.  But her greatest energy was devoted to the care and support of her family.  Rose was known as a warm, loving, humble woman who exemplified the Golden Rule.  She will be greatly missed by family and friends.  

Her funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Ave., Tuesday morning at 10:30.  A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Therese Church at 11:00.  Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery.  The visiting hours will be Monday from 4 to 7 pm.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Masonicare Home Health & Hospice c/o The Masonic Charity Foundation of CT, P.O.
