Karen, Billy & Brandon, we are terribly sorry for your loss. We just can't believe how things happen to such wonderful people. If there is anything you need we are right around the corner and come help you. Love & hugs, Jane & Kevin
Bill,
You were a great colleague and friend. I reached out to you many times for counsel and comfort and you never let me down. I will miss you as will all whose lives you touched in so many ways.
Karen, though we never met, I feel that I know you so well through conversations with Bill. He loved you very much. Though many times he felt guilty about being away from home and leaving you to deal with issues, he had so much confidence in that you would always do the right thing
Billy and Brandon, my God, your Dad was so proud of the two of you. I know a lot more about you guys then you could imagine. All good. I got a kick out of the "care package" he would send you. 1 $100, 1 $50, 1 $20, 1 $10, 1 $5 and 1 $1. He loved doing that.
I will miss my friend and feel very guilty right now that I did not stay in touch once I left FannieMae. But I’ve got such great memories of the times Bill and I enjoyed. They will stay with me forever.
Karen and the entire Kottage family, Our hearts are simply broken. Billy was such a big part of our lives when we all lived in West Haven in Michael's home and then Bobby's. He sat thru softball games of ours, numerous dance recitals, dance competitions and so much more. We visited different churches every Sunday for Mass for the longest time all together and always managed to have "family" dinner each week. As we all went our separate ways, no matter our distance, when we talked it was an automatic silliness as we spoke about all the fun we shared in the 8 year span of "living together". Billy will be terribly missed. He truly was an adopted son to my mom and a big brother to myself over the years. He bought so much joy to our lives and that is a memory we will cherish forever. Please know our heavy hearts are with each and every one of you at this horrible time. You are all in our prayers as is Billy. Sadly, Karen and Joan
We love you and our thoughts and prayers are with you and the boys.
My god. My heart is so saddened of this news. I send my love and prayers to his wonderful family. Love u all and I'm so very sorry
I worked very closely with Bill at Fannie Mae. Bill cared so deeply about his family and often mentioned you during our conversations. He was very proud of his sons and all they were accomplishing. He talked often about Karen, his parents, and siblings, and I knew he came from a strong extended family. The thing I remember most about Bill is that he was very loyal and emotional, and was not afraid to show his feelings about those he cared about. I will miss my friend and colleague…I am a better person for having known him. My prayers are with you all.
My sympathies and prayers are with Karen and Bill's entire family.
I am so very sorry for the Kottage family. I remember"Billy" so well, since his family lived just down the street on Douglas Ave. My deepest condolences to his wife and children, may he rest in peace.

I am so sorry for your loss. Billy and I attended St. Bernadette's together. My heart is so saddened for you all. May the strength of the Lord lead you through these rough times.
I am still in shock over this very sad news. Billy and I along with our many friends at ND spent countless hours together in High School, at mixers, the beach, the Cove, Ralph's ppol, and yes certain discos!, not to mention Howard Johnson's as the last stop every weekend. We shared many fond memories. He was such a close friend during those years and several that followed and it was fun seeing him a few times in DC when he worked down here so many years later. I wish I had seen him more. My heart goes out to all of his family at this difficult time. Please know that all of you are in my thoughts and prayers.
I’m sorry for your loss. I went to college with Bill and he is part of all those memories.
