Barbara DiGirolamo Dinan, 75, of Hamden, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 20th, 2021 at her home. She was the beloved wife of 56 years to John “Jack” Dinan. Barbara was born in New Haven on August 10th, 1946, and was the daughter of the late Joseph DiGirolamo, Sr. and Rosina “Rose” Grignano DiGirolamo. She had worked as a lunch aide for the Hamden School System and was an organizer for the Girl Scouts. Barbara was a very active parishioner at St. Rita Church where she greeted and helped church members. She was an Avon representative, enjoyed creating many ceramic pieces and gifting them to family and friends, and enjoyed trips to Cape Cod. Mother of Mary Sheehan (Thomas) and Diane Paecht (Michael). Grandmother of Kristin Willette (Dylan) and Joseph Paecht. Sister of Maria Masiello (Vincent), Bernadine Morin (Mike Zulawski) and the late Joseph DiGirolamo, Jr. Also survived by many nieces and nephews whom she was very close to.
The visiting hours will be Monday morning, Dec. 27th from 9:30 to 11:00 at The Havens Family, North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in Divine Mercy Parish at St. Rita’s Church, 1620 Whitney Avenue, Hamden at 11:30. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
She was alway my go to person for Avon. She always look out for me when it came to ordering products from Avon. My heart goes out to the family she was truly a very caring and loving person. She will be missed by those who lives she truly touched. To the Family I will keep you in my prayers.

I met Barbara thru Girl Scouts, I went to many meetings at her house and was amazed at how many decorations they would put out at holidays. They were beautiful. Barbara was very nice to me and helped me so much getting my first troop together. My prayers go out to her husband and her family.
