Barbara L. Brunty Keating, 84, of East Haven passed away peacefully on Friday, July 17, 2020 at the Connecticut Hospice, Branford. She was the beloved wife of the late Frank J. Keating, Jr. who passed away on Monday, July 13th.
Her and her late husband will be privately interred in the North Haven Center Cemetery.
I remember Barbara from St. Paul and St. James Church in New Haven. She came to a New Year’s Day Party at my house – at least 10 years ago. She brought a house present, a white blooming Cyclamen. I still have that house plant. Every fall/winter/spring it blossoms profusely, and I think of Barbara’s kindness.
I remember Barbara as a coworker at CMS in New Haven @ 1960. She was a tiny,energetic presence in the office. I remember her flitting around swinging that blond ponytail and sometimes mumbling to herself.
