Barbara Lawson Hutchinson passed away at age 71 on September 10. It was much too soon. Barbara will be remembered as an amazing wife, a dedicated teacher, a mom and a friend. She will especially be missed by her granddaughters Maisie and Sammie, for whom she was their incredible Baba, inspiring creativity, love of life – no matter the obstacles presented – and true goodness. She was a one of a kind. A piece of our hearts dies with her. We love you Baba, always and forever.
Mrs. Hutchinson was a wonderful lady ,I so enjoyed knowing her.
So sorry for you Blake and the rest of your family
I will remember Barbara as a teacher in North Branford with a fuzzy yelllw coat.
So sorry for your loss.
I will miss Barb’s enthusiasm, zest for life, and kindness. She was my friend and Chi O sister for 53 years. To all her family and friends, you have my sympathy.
Barbara was a strong, beautiful, intelligent woman who loved her family, friends and neighbors.
As her oncology nurse and neighbor i can honestly say Barb had a lot of fight in her! When I was with Barb, we would share many stories about Block Island, a favorite place to visit for both of us. There are those special patients that nurses develop a bond and friendship with.
Barb was a special patient, a truely special lady!
Rest In Peace and every time I see a beautiful garden full of hydrangeas I’ll think of you!
I was very saddened to real of Mrs. Hutchinson’s passing. Our two daughters, Monica Jordan Dwake and Rebecca Jordan Fox, both had her for a teacher at Stanley T. Williams school and were very sad to learn of her passing. They both “loved her” as their teacher. She knew how to get her lessons across in a fun way and was always a pleasure to deal with. We all offer our sincerest condolences to the whole family and hope that your happy memories will get you through this difficult time.
I reconnected with Barb as we learned to p!ay bridge. We had so much fun rotating houses for a fun afternoon of practicing bridge. Barb was so positive, gracious and caring Her beautiful home reflected the talent she had as a decorator. Her reflection of teaching revealed a wonderfully dedicated educator she had a great sense of humor and love of life i am so sorry for her loss as she faced her cancer with courage and bravery . Thinking of her previous family and many friends with love and sympathy.
