Barbara A. Hanchette Barauskas, 74, of East Haven passed away on Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at her home. She was the beloved wife of 51 years to Leon A. Barauskas. Barbara was born in New Haven on December 17, 1940; daughter of the late Frederick and Sarafine LeBell Hanchette and had worked for the former First Union Bank. Mother of Lesley Paquin and the late Sandra Manley. Sister of George (Joyce) Hanchette and Robert (Christine) Hanchette. Also survived by eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her son-in-law Lawrence Paquin.
Her funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue Monday morning at 9:15. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Francis Church at 10:00 am. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. The visiting hours will be Sunday from 5 to 8 pm.
Leon and Lesley we are so sorry for your loss. I hope Sandy and Larry are waiting for her with open arms. She will always be missed, but never forgotten.
