Benson A. Meyer, 90, of Wallingford, formerly of Englewood, Florida and Milford, passed away peacefully on Thursday October 19, 2017 at the Connecticut Hospice, Branford. He was the beloved husband of 68 years to the late Anna M. Pino Meyer. Benson was born in New Haven on February 17, 1927 and was the son of the late Benson and Sybil Ritchie Meyer. He served his country faithfully in the US Navy during WWII and participated in the “D” Day Invasion at Normandy. He had worked as a Night Supervisor for Coca-Cola Bottling Company for many years. Father of Ronald (Joan) Meyer and Gregory (Elizabeth) Meyer. Grandfather of Lisa (Bryan) Lauriat, Laura Meyer, her fiancé  Michael Anastasio and Lindsay Meyer. Great Grandfather of Kaden Lauriat. Predeceased by his sister, Marjorie Meyer.

Funeral services with full military honors will be conducted in the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, Sunday afternoon November 5th at 1:00 with the Rev. Timothy Meehan officiating. Family and friends may call from 12:00 noon until time of service. Entombment will be private and at the convenience of the family in the All Saints Mausoleum.
