Bernadette Thompson Miller, 85, of Hamden, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 24th, 2022, at Connecticut Hospice, Branford. She was the beloved wife of the late Richard Miller. Bernadette was born in Garvagh, County Derry, Northern Ireland on August 9, 1936 and was the daughter of the late William and Elizabeth O’Kane Thompson. She was the former owner and operator of Harrison’s Ace Hardware of Milford and Hamden for many years. After her retirement Bernadette volunteered at Brook Green Gardens in Myrtle Beach. She enjoyed gardening and loved cats as well as all animals. Mother of Stephen (Tammy) Mullin and Colleen (Mark Schuyler) Mullin. Sister of Cathleen Szymanski, John and Willie Thompson, Geraldine Reilly, and the late Mary Thompson.
The visiting hours will be Wednesday, March 30th from 10:30 am to 12:30pm at The Havens Family, North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. A service will be conducted in the funeral home at 12:30pm. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hamden.
