Beverly Ann Burke DeLorenzo, 79, of Hamden, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 24, 2023, at Whitney Manor, Hamden. She was the beloved wife of Gerard DeLorenzo. Beverly was born in Bridgeport on September 1, 1944, and was the daughter of the late Harold and Mary Howard Burke. She attended St. Augustine School as a young girl and was a devoted parishioner at St. Augustine Church. Beverly had worked for Burlington Coat Factory in the receiving department for many years. Her greatest joy was taking care of her family, especially her grandchildren who she loved unconditionally. Mother of Cassandra (Joseph) DeLorenzo-Ihasz and the late Veronica Ann DeLorenzo. Beloved grandmother of Selena and Jonathan Ihasz. Sister of Margaret Burke-Crumb and the late Barbara Burke-Delvey, Harold Burke Sr. and Teresa Burke.
The visiting hours will be Thursday, November 2nd from 5 to 8 PM at The Havens Family, North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. Family and friends are invited to go directly to St. Margaret Shrine, 2523 Park Avenue, Bridgeport, CT 06604 on Friday morning at 10:00 to attend a Mass of Christian burial and are also invited to attend the committal service immediately following in Gates of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull.
