Maryellen Duggan Priebe, 72, of North Haven, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 18, 2016 at her home with her children and grandchildren by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Donald H. Priebe. Maryellen was born in Hartford on January 27, 1943; daughter of late Kenneth and Ellen Horan Duggan. A 1964 graduate of St. Francis School of Nursing, she had worked as a Registered Nurse at Yale-New Haven Hospital for forty years until her retirement. Maryellen enjoyed going out to lunch and dinner with the “Thursday Night Girl’s”. Her children helped her fight a courageous battle with Parkinson’s disease and were always by her side. Loving mother of William Priebe (Claudia Wilk), Lynne Rosello and Jon Priebe (Tricia). Devoted grandmother of Daniel, Timothy, Callyn and Jack Priebe. Sister of Teresa and Edward Duggan. Also survived by “Budweiser” her beloved dog she enjoyed spending time with.
Her funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, Friday morning at 9:30. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in Church of the Resurrection at 10:00 am. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. The visiting hours will be Thursday from 4 to 7 PM. I met Mary Ellen through her Meriden friends and felt an instant bond. A beautiful lady that shared her love freely with family and friends. To her beloved children and grandchildren we humbly offer our heartfelt condolences.

My first encounter with Mrs Priebe was at the PCC were she worked as a nurse. We instantly became friends. I loved working and just talking with her everyday. Maryellen you will be missed.????
