After a week long battle…Doctors, Nurses, Specialists and the help of family and friends never leaving her side, never going to sleep, Barbara Wilson Moore unfairly lost her life on Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at Bridgeport Hospital from injuries she sustained from her sudden cardiac arrest and irreversible coma. Barbara was born in Gary, Indiana on February 25, 1950; daughter of the late Sanford W. and Anna T. Yellak Wilson. She was a graduate of Indiana University where she earned a Bachelor degree in elementary education; was a longtime stay-at-home mom and later had worked for PJ’s Garden Exchange of Trumbull. Barbara also known as Mama, “Mims”, Gaga or Barb, a midwest girl who was an extremely talented gardner and writer, loved children, animals, flowers, beautiful literature, nature and amazing music. Always multitasking, she would get her kids off to school, write a short story or poem, go to work, come home do yard work and still have time to make dinner for her family. Loving mother of Allison A. Hutchison and her husband Jesse, Patrick Moore and his wife Cara. Devoted grandmother of Maddie, Eli, Finn and Kinley. Beloved sister of Sandy Wilson. Barbara was an “Angel on Earth”, she never had an ounce of negative energy or a mean bone in her body; was always there for advice or help if needed. She touched the lives of hundreds if not thousands in her lifetime and will truly be missed. Family and friends are invited to call at the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, North Haven on Friday evening, August 1st from 5 to 7. Funeral Services and Interment Services will be privately held. Memorial contributions to the Animal Haven, Inc., 89 Mill Road, North Haven, CT 06473 or the American Lung Association, 45 Ash Street, East Hartford, CT 06108

My deepest condolences to Barbs family. I'm so sorry for her beautiful grandchildren who she loved so much.
I am so so sorry for your loss. I loved her dearly !! A beautiful person inside and out !! I will miss her daily uplifting pictures and her beautiful grand kids pictures. Prayers to the family.
Patrick and Ali and everyone in the family: I knew your mother from 1973. Nominally, she was my secretary, but she was actually far more of friend. I am devastated by the news of her death. It seems like only days ago we were "meeting up" on Facebook. It was so delightful "discovering" her again after all these years. I will always remember her wonderful laugh, her deep devotion and loyalty and, above all, her unfailing friendship and all-encompassing warmth. She will be sorely missed. I grieve with you, but I am also thankful that I was fortunate enough to know her and lucky enough to spend time with her again, even though it was just on the Internet.
I have not seen Barb for over 35 years but she was always a fun friend. In the old (Merrillville, Indiana) school days when the teachers sat you alphabetically, Barb sat right behind me or, in some classes, right behind Joanna White who sat right behind me. Great memories. Condolences to Barb's family.
So sorry to hear of your loss! Our thoughts & prayers are with you & your family Allison!
