Loretta Lucia Cossidente Colvano, of North Haven, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 17, 2016 at her home with her family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late John T. Colvano.  Loretta was born in New Haven on December 14, 1918; daughter of the late John and Anna DeStefano Cossidente; had worked for Sargents & Company and later for the former Giltex of North Haven.  Loretta was a member of the former Mother Cabrini Society of St. Barnabas Church, was an avid reader, loved to sew, cook and organize!  Mother of Lauren Montano and the late Denise M. Colvano and Jayme DeLucia. Mother-in-law of Raymond DeLucia.  Grandmother of Brian (Julieann) DeLucia, Lynne (William) Anastasio, Kimberly (Dale) Brawn, Jay (Dori) Montano.  Great-Grandmother of Brandon & Gabriella DeLucia, Ryan & Gavin Brawn, Rebecca Anastasio, Kailey & Chelsey Montano. Sister – in-law of Caroline Cossidente.  Predeceased by a brother George Cossidente and a sister Florence Brancato.

Her funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, Tuesday morning at 10:30. Family and friends may call from 9 to 10:30 am.  A Mass of Christian burial will follow in St. Barnabas Church at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in the All Saints Cemetery.
