Carmen R. Betancourt Serrano, 79, of New Haven, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 13th, 2021 at Yale New Haven Hospital with her family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Dionisio Serrano. Carmen was born in Puerto Rico on October 24, 1941 and was the daughter of the late Thomas and Genoveva Rodriguez Betancourt. Mother of Margarita and Luis Serrano, Iris, Milagros, Luis, Sonia and Angel Soto. Stepmother of Gloria, Olga, Dionisio, Jr and the late Francisco Serrano. Also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
The visiting hours will be Friday, April 16th from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at The Havens Family, North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. Family and friends are invited to go directly to Evergreen Cemetery, 769 Ella T. Grasso Boulevard on Saturday morning, April 17th at 10:00 to attend a graveside service.
