Carole Adams Colwell, 81, of Northford, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 12, 2024, at Yale New Haven with her husband by her side. She was the beloved wife of George Colwell. Carole was born in West Haven on December 16, 1942, and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Dowd Adams. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, and traveling with her husband. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family who she loved unconditionally. Mother of Ryan Colwell, Todd (Sarah) Colwell, and Chad Colwell. Grandmother of Katherine Colwell. Sister of Richard Adams, Linda Scolnik, and the late Joseph Adams and Jennie Sullivan. Predeceased by her daughter-in-law Pamela Colwell.
Private funeral services have been entrusted to The Havens Family North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O. Box 50, Memphis, TN 10001 in Carole’s honor.
