Madeline C. Napolitano Pitts, 92, of North Haven, passed away on Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at the St. Raphael’s Campus of Yale-New Haven Hospital. She was the wife of the late Forrest V. Pitts. Born on June 4, 1921 in New Haven; daughter of the late Frank and Rose Accavallo Napolitano. She was an avid reader and homemaker who was happiest spending time with her beloved family, extended family and friends. Mother of Vincent Pitts, Joyce (Mark) Clark, John (Margaret) Pitts and the late Forrest V. Pitts, Jr. Grandmother of John and Wallace Pitts, Nicholas, Andrea and Zachary Clark. Step Grandmother of Mark Clark, Jr.. Great Grandmother of Sadie and Travis Pitts, Joy Shorey, Oliver Barrieau and Zachary Clark, Jr. Step-Great grandmother of Autumn and Allison Clark. Sister of the late Lena Luzzi, Mary Natale, Frances Candella, Frank Augustine, John Spontino, Tony Piccirillo, Joseph Piccirillo, Fred Napolitano and Dominic Napolitano. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews and great grandnieces and great grandnephews and special friend Anna Venuti.

Her funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, Monday morning at 9:30. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Barnabas Church at 10:00. Entombment will follow in All Saints Mausoleum. Relatives and friends may call Sunday from 3 to 7 pm.
