SO sorry for your loss. Hugs, Brian and Sue Wiehler
When I joined the PD in 1967 Charlie was my mentor. I first met him when he was working an extra duty job inside Kavanaugh’s Bar on Chapel St. That was the beginning of a lifelong friendship. Charlie gave me a lot of good advice on how to survive on the street. He was a caring person who especially loved all kids. Having gone on many jobs with him I knew he was fair but at the same time I also knew that he could be one tough policeman. No nonsense policing. Charlie thought the world of his wife Ellen and their family and grandchildren. I am so sorry for the loss of this good man. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all Charlies family. He will be missed but thought of often.
To Charlie’s family deepest sympathy . Your father was a good guy may he Rest In Peace
We enjoyed talking to Charlie throughout the many years we have been neighbors with him and Ellen. The neighborhood won’t be the same without him. Our deepest sympathy to his family.
So sorry to hear this. I first met this family back in the mid-70s and called on this family’s tree service many decades later. I offer my sincerest condolences to all. What a terrible loss in these already trying times. Hugs to you all.
I knew Charley in high school then came back around to work together on the N.H.P.D. A good friend for many years. My deepest sympathies.
