Clifford D. Fritzell, Jr. 82, of North Branford, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 25th, 2021 at The Twin Maples Home, Durham. Born in Waterbury on May 20, 1939, he was the son of the late Clifford D. Fritzell, Sr. and Ruby J. Nelson Fritzell. Clifford spent his childhood years in Morgan Point, East Haven and as a teen saved two men from drowning off the point. He was honored by the Lyons club for his effort. Clifford was the owner/operator of the former Esquire Machine & Tool working in the trade he loved. He also raced boats as a young man and enjoyed gardening. Father of Lynn Clark (David), William Fredericks (Michele Carlan), and Clifford D. Fritzell III (Yvonne). Brother of Lois Top (Franklin H. Top, Jr.), James Fritzell (TereseAnn Bigio), and the late Steven Fritzel. He leaves behind his grandchildren, Michael Clark (Karyn), Matthew Clark, Maria Clark, Stephen Carlan, five great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was the proud owner of his faithful companions, his dogs, Jay, and the late Niko.

A funeral service will be conducted in The Havens Family, North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue on Friday morning, May 28th at 11:00. Family and friends may call one hour prior to time of service. Interment will immediately follow the service in the North Haven Center Cemetery
