Concetta “Connie” Fernicola Dente, 79, of North Haven, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at Yale New Haven Hospital/ St. Raphael Campus. She was the beloved wife of 58 years to Diamante Dente. Connie was born in Buccino, Province of Salerno, Italy on October 19, 1942 and was the daughter of the late Emilio and Angelina Alfano Fernicola. Connie will always be remembered for her infectious laugh, her enthusiasm for life, and her deep love for her family and friends. Beloved mother of Gregory Dente, Marcello Dente (Annarita Filadetti) and Maria Dente (Nicholas McClelland). Loving grandmother of Roman and Margot McClelland. Sister of Gerardo Fernicola (Angie), Anna Fernicola (Yoshi Ikezoe) and Nick Fernicola (Dianne).
The visiting hours will be on Sunday, October 16th at The Havens Family North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue from 2:00 to 5:00 PM. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in Saint Elizabeth of the Trinity Parish at St. Therese Church, 555 Middletown Avenue, North Haven on Monday morning at 10:00. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 200 Executive Blvd, Suite 4B, Southington, CT 06489.
