Conrad G. Walsh, 85, of North Haven, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 4, 2018 at his home with his family by his side. He was the beloved husband of 57 years to Constance Doody Walsh. Conrad was born in New Haven on January 27, 1933 and was the son of the late Robert and Carol Finer Walsh. He served his country faithfully in the US Army Military Police during the Korean War. He had worked as a Steel Rule Die Maker for B-P Products of Hamden for many years until his retirement. Conrad was active with his church, volunteered at the Hospital of St. Raphael’s for many years but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family whom he loved unconditionally. Father of Rev. Jeffrey Walsh, Gregory Walsh, Rev. Dennis Walsh SOLT, Gary Walsh (Mary), Sheila Basquil (Jim) and Brian Walsh. Grandfather of Jack, Meghan, Sierra, Ryan and Juliette. Brother of Carol McGowan and the late Robert Walsh and Rosemary Cote. Brother in law of Dolores Gannon.
His funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue on Thursday morning at 9:30. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in Saint Elizabeth of the Trinity Parish at St. Therese Church, 555 Middletown Avenue, North Haven at 10:00. Interment with full military honors will follow in All Saints Cemetery. The visiting hours will be Wednesday from 4 to 7 pm. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to the VAMC, 15 Ely Street, West Haven, CT 06516.
