Consiglia Gismondi Nuzzolillo, 84, of Cheshire and Cerreto Sannita, Italy passed away peacefully on December 4, 2016 at her home in Italy with her family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Giuseppe Nuzzolillo. Consiglia was born in Cerreto Sannita on April 12, 1932; daughter of the late Pasquale and Giuseppina Carangelo Gismondi; had worked for Camco Fittings and later for her family’s business the former Betty’s Market, Townsend Avenue, New Haven. Beloved mother of Luigi Nuzzolillo, Maria Nuzzolillo and her husband Daniel Stemmer and the late Pina Noonan. Mother-in-law of Raymond Noonan, Jr. Loving grandmother of Raymond Noonan III, Joseph and Lauren Noonan. Predeceased by her sister Eleonora Gismondi.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian burial on Saturday morning, Dec. 31st at 10:00 in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 2819 Whitney Avenue, Hamden and are also invited to attend the committal service immediately following in St. Mary Cemetery, Hamden. There will be no visiting hours. The North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue has been entrusted with the arrangements.
