Curt Hawkes, of North Haven, beloved son, brother, husband, and adored father passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, March 30th, 2023.  Curt was born on July 6th, 1964, in Greenfield, Massachusetts, to Linda M. and R. Whitney (Whit) Hawkes.  He grew up in North Haven, CT, attended Notre Dame High School, and graduated from Marist College, in 1986. While at Marist, Curt met his wife Patricia (Pat), and made lifelong friends.  Curt and Pat were married on St. Patrick’s Day in 1990, and moved to North Haven, Connecticut, where they happily spent the last 30+ years.  Curt was a devoted father, husband, son, nephew and friend who left an immediate impact on each person he interacted with. He started every day with a call to his brother Chris, his parents, and his lifelong best friend, Marty Carlo, all of whom he adored more than words can express. Family was the most important part of his life. Curt’s greatest joy was the time spent with his daughters Norah and Delia, who were the loves of his life. He shared countless hours of laughter and unforgettable memories with his brother, Chris (Kim) Bahama, NC, sisters in-law, Mary (Ray) Buckley, Bethel, CT, and Judith (Rick) Drago, Weston, CT. Curt’s nephews and nieces Richard (Kaitlin), Raymond, Shannon, Charlie, Jake, Caeley, Colin and Liam, as well as his great nephew, Christian, and his cousins, Kiley (Brandon) and Devin, brought him so much joy. Curt appreciated each member of his family, close or extended, and never missed an opportunity to let them know how much they meant to him. Curt spent years coaching softball, youth, high school (Maloney High School) and college (Albertus Magnus.) Though Curt’s life was cut unexpectedly short, his impact will echo far beyond his time on earth. Everyone who knew Curt was better because of their friendship with him, and he will be missed by everyone who loved him as dearly as he loved them.
