Kenneth C. Pierson, 76, of North Haven. Husband of 55 years to Joan (Larkin) Pierson. Passed away February 21, 2014 at home surrounded by his loving family after a long courageous battle with cancer. Born on June 29, 1937 to Walter and Viola Pierson. Loving father of Kenneth J. Pierson of North Haven, Michael W. Pierson of Hamden. Grandfather of Heather Pierson (Matt), Holly Pierson, Kelly Pierson. Great Grandfather of Austin, Mallory and Bianca. Ken graduated from Hillhouse High School, was a member of the Ridge Top Swim and Tennis Club for 42 years and was employed by SNET for 40 years until his retirement. Ken loved fishing, New York Yankees, New York Giants and vacationing with his family in Vermont and Maine.
Funeral Services will be conducted in the North Haven Funeral Home 36 Washington Avenue, Wednesday morning at 11:00. Family and friends may call from 9:30 to time of service. Interment will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to Smilow Cancer Hospital P.O. Box 1849 New Haven, CT 06508.
We will truly miss our kind, loving, and generous dear friend. We enjoyed our time spent together especially the vacations in Cape Cod and Vermont. You will remain in our memories and heart forever.
