Richard C. Warren, Sr., 77, of Fort Pierce, Florida, formerly of 3rd St., New Haven, passed away Tuesday, April 1, 2014 in Fort Pierce, Florida. He was the beloved husband of the late Carmela “Chickie” Pacileo Warren. Born in New Haven on August 14, 1936; son of the late Alfred and Marion Lafo Warren. He served his country faithfully in the US Army Reserves and had worked for Metro-North Railroad for many years. He enjoyed going to the casino and being out on the water fishing. Father of Debra (William-WSFD) Spiegel, of West Haven, Dorothy (Frank) Kollanda, of Naples, Florida, Teresa Warren and Richard (Glee) Warren, Jr., of Fort Pierce, FL. Brother of Alfred (Lucille) Warren-Ret. NHFD and Carol Houle. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted in the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, Saturday morning at 10:00. Interment with full military honors will follow in All Saints Cemetery. The visiting hours Friday from 5 to 8 PM. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 2080 Silas Dean Highway, 2ND Floor, Rocky Hill, CT 06067.
