Eleanor A. Towner Malavolti, 88, of North Haven passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at her home with family by her side. She was the wife of the late Wallace Malavolti. Eleanor was born in North Haven on June 14, 1926, daughter of the late Arthur R. and Anna Christine Nelson Towner; had worked for the SNET Company; was a member of the North Haven Historical Society and the North Haven Senior Center; was a parishioner of St. Barnabas Church and a member of its former women’s club. Mother of Lynn and Cara Malavolti. Predeceased by brothers Thomas E. and Harold F. Windsor, Arthur R. Towner, Jr. and sisters Esther Towner Schmidt and Anna Mae Windsor Ryan.
Her funeral procession to the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, Friday morning 9:30. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Barnabas Church at 10:00 am. Interment will follow in the North Haven Center Cemetery. The visiting hours will be Thursday from 5 to 7 pm.
