Dan and I started our SNET careers together in 1984 along with 4 other LINX sales people. Dan and I just spoke on Friday abut our service anniversaries all occurring last week and how surprised that it had ben 33 years since those first days with our cell phones, sales calls, etc. Dan had the first Linx baby and we tried to convince him to name the first baby , “Linx”. Obviously that didn’t happen. I remember us all going out with our cars, (the first ones in CT with cell phones). I remember our first sales manager – calling a sales meeting on the evening before Thanks giving and Dan standing up and telling him, no way we were having a meeting. I remember the many Linx parties celebrating each quarter. I just hope a couple of these little stories bring back good memories. May you have strength to deal with this time of your life
I worked for and with Dan for many years at AT&T. I will always consider him a great supervisor, supportive mentor and personal friend. My family and I want to send our prayers and deepest sympathies. Please find comfort in knowing that his legacy lives on in the people’s lives he has touched so deeply. Some of us you know or have heard of, others you never have but there is a huge group out there sending you and your family our love and thoughts.
It’s been many years since I spoke with or saw Dan. I attended Providence College with Dan and remember him as a kind and caring individual. Rest in peace.
Meghan and family,
I know it’s been a long time since we have seen each other, but I’m so sorry for your loss !! Your dad was such a nice guy and did not deserve to go so young. My heart breaks for your family. I’m always here if you need anything.
To Joanne and Family: I have known Dan for 20 years at AT&T. He is one of the smartest people I know. His wit, his proud Irish heritage and beyond all his love for his wife, children, grandchildren and siblings is what I remember most. An amazing story teller, I looked forward to having Dan stop by my office to share pics of his grandchildren and family and share his stories. To Dan’s children, know that Dad was so very proud of you all. I will never forget Dan. He was a one in a million. God bless you all and know our heart aches with you.
Mrs Callahan and family~ we are so sorry for your loss

Mrs Callahan and family We are so sorry for your loss. Our prayers are with you at very difficult time. Our love the Puzone family
My deepest condolences to the Callahan family. It has been said that people come into our lives for a reason…I was blessed to have Dan in mine. Dan was there with a listening ear, sound advice, and kind words – always when it was needed the most. As I sit here writing this; tears in my eyes and a heavy heart, I am enlightened to know that Dan was here for a reason and made a difference. I feel especially blessed to have been one of the lucky ones at AT&T who had the fortune of knowing him.
I am so sorry to hear of Dan’s passing. I worked with Dan through the SNET, SBC and AT&T years. I remember Dan’s friendly smile, his ability to tell a story and his pride in his family. He will be missed. My deepest condolences.
I am so very sorry for the loss of Dan. It was obvious that he had love for his family beyond what words can say. I worked with Dan on a regular basis for all of my years at the Diversified Group and some for my first years with the company in SNET Wireless. I still cannot wrap my mind around not having him around for his wit and wisdom. It is a void of knowledge that cannot be filled. I will miss him greatly.
Mrs. Callahan,
We are so sorry for your tragic loss. Our deepest sympathies and condolences to you and your family.
Pat and family,

(Acts 24:15). Please accept my sincere condolences.
Joanne, Nancy, Sr Joann and extended Callahan family, my deepest condolences on the loss of Dan. “Perhaps they are not stars, but rather openings in heaven, where the love of those lost shines down to let us know they are happy”~Eskimo proverb. The heavens, with utmost certainty, have gained one of the best. May peace be with you, and your memories give you comfort.

Scripture reads, Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. – Isaiah 41:10
Joanne and family, I also have worked for Dan for decades during our 33 years at AT&T. His Irish wit was undeniable as was his love and devotion to his family. I feel I know each of you and want you to know how he lit up with love and pride when ever you were mentioned. So many memories. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
My heart and prayers are with you, Callahan Family. I worked with Dan for a few short years but, I immediately knew after meeting him that he had exuded wisdom and strength. I am thankful to have had the time to get to know him. May GOD wrap his arms around you during this time of sorrow to bring you to a place of peace. Dan will be truly missed. I’m sure Heaven has gained another Angel.
Dan was a great contributor to many of the projects that I managed at AT&T. I learned a lot from him. My deepest condolences to the entire family!
Joanne and family,
With deepest sympathy for the loss of a great man who was such an important part of life at SNET/SBC/AT&T DG. He so loved his family with a big smile on his face as he proudly gave updates as the kids grew up and grandkids arrived. Dan was a great source of counsel and guidance over the years. His smile and hearty laugh I will never forget.
May God bless and comfort you all
To Dan’s family; know that he was loved by everyone who I know that knew him. I also want to share with you that from the very first day I met Dan he was considered a friend. He was classically one of the ‘guys’. Please accept my condolences. I pray the richness in the memories of him comforts you for the foreseeable future.
