David J. Troiano, 38, of Hamden passed away suddenly Saturday, June 10, 2017 at Yale New Haven Hospital due to injuries suffered in motor vehicle accident. David was born in New Haven on January 27, 1979; son of Michael and Anna D’Antonio Troiano; David worked in construction for many years. He enjoyed fishing, playing Italian cards and watching movies. He especially loved spending time with his family, he will be sadly missed by his son Nikolas, his two nieces Chiara and Lianna and his two nephews Michael and Marco. In addition to his parents and son, he is survived by his brother Pasquale (Stephanie) Troiano, his twin Dennis (Paula) Troiano and his maternal grandmother Livia D’Antonio. In addition he leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins and loving mother of his son Kirsten Williams. He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather Raffaele D’Antonio and Paternal grandparents Pasquale and Maria Antonucci Troiano.
His funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue Thursday morning at 10:15. Family and friends may call from 8:15am to 10:15am A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at the Church of the Ascension, Hamden at 11:00am. Interment will follow in the All Saints Cemetery. Should friends desire memorial contributions may be made to Nikolas Troiano Memorial Scholarship, P.O. Box 185204, Hamden, CT 06514.

Experiencing the death of someone you love can be life changing and overwhelming. We were created to enjoy life forever, not experiencing the excruciating pain you are feeling now. Please know that God’s original purpose for us has not changed. Revelation 21:4 speaks of suffering, pain, and even death are going do be removed forever. We also have the marvelous hope of seeing those we have lost in death, once again, by means of the resurrection, as brought out at Acts 24:15. Please do find some comfort in knowing this.

When someone we love dies, it leaves a hole in our hearts. This sorrow was felt by Jesus, Mary and Martha when Lazarus their brother died. Jesus said to Martha: “I am the resurrection and the life, He that exercises faith in me even though he dies, will come to life. Did I not tell you that if you would believe you would see the glory of God?” Then he proceeded to resurrect Lazarus and he promises to resurrect all those in the memorial tombs.
