Barbara, Allison, David and Chelsea,
We are so very sorry for your loss. May you take comfort in knowing that he is now at peace with God.
With sympathy and love,
John, Lisa, Rebecca and Ryan Marks
Sorry for your loss
Our love and sympathy are with you. We had a great 24 years working together. He worked hard to establish a successful business and to provide a steady living for his employees. He always told me that he had a lot of families depending on him and he took that responsibility very seriously. He stayed awake nights worrying about that responsibility. He was a man of great faith and adored his family. I will miss the banter but I could always see his good heart. I will miss my friend Dave. Love to all of you
Barbara and family, I am very sadden to read this news. Dave was a large part of my Christain journey. He will br missed by a large number. May God comfort you and yours. Pam
Joan and I are heartbroken. But we also rejoice that David is now in glory!
Praying for all of David’s family and friends at this difficult time. May God’s peace bring you healing and comfort.
Our heartfelt condolences to Barbara and the whole Marks family. David was a good man, especially beloved in the Tres Dias community. He will be missed on earth, but he’s a welcome guest in Heaven.
“Rose Beyond the Wall”
A rose once grew where all could see,
sheltered beside a garden wall,
And as the days passed swiftly by,
it spread its branches, straight and tall.
One day, a beam of light shone through
a crevice that had opened wide ~
The rose bent gently toward its warmth
then passed beyond to the other side
Now, you who deeply feel its loss,
be comforted ~ the rose blooms there ~
its beauty even greater now,
nurtured by God’s own loving care.
Dave was both a mentor and “big brother” to me in every sense in my Christian journey. Completely irreplaceable in my life. Heaven has gained a great servant and while as humans we mourn his passing, his spirit lives within me, and I suspect within hundreds of others. Dave is being rewarded by The King, and that is a very comforting thought.
We are so sorry to hear of Davids passing.
Barb, you and your family will be in our thoughts and prayers during the services and after that as well. We live in FL during the winter so we can’t be there but feel our love and many blessings.
Much love🙏
So sorry for the lost of David, May he RIP.
As the retired Business Manager of Sheet Metal Workers Local Union 40 David and I always knew how important his Company was to his Workers and this Union.
He always did his best to make sure he give the most he could to be successful at it.
He will be missed.
We are so sorry to hear of your loss, in David’s passing. Our condolences go out to Barbara and her entire family at this time. May you find peace in knowing David fought a good fight, and is now resting peacefully in the arms of the Lord, and will watch over you all forever, until you meet again.
So saddened to hear of David’s death. My heart goes out to Barbara and his family. There is solace in knowing that Jesus was victorious over the grave but he will be greatly missed nonetheless.
Prayers
We are so sorry for your loss, our condolences to you and your family
We are sorry that this wonderful man has ended his mortal life but he is with the Lord and that is our promise from God.
We are all deeply sorry to hear that Dave has passed. Our deepest condolences go out to you Barbara, Allison, Davey, Chelsea and the rest of the Marks family. He was a fighter and after his battle he can now Rest In Peace. He will be missed.
Ouch. (Jill and I relocated to St. Louis last October, so this one stings, I didn’t see this one coming)
Barb, I will always be grateful for David’s wisdom and patience with me when I would want to go off half-cocked with frustration about some political event inside Tres Dias. His presence was peaceful, no matter how crazy things were around him. (Well, at least he appeared peaceful on the outside, and that was enough for me!)
Anyway, as the song says, “When the battle is over, we shall wear a crown, in the new Jerusalem”. Dave has that crown now, God bless him.
Love you, David.
John
May warm and wonderful memories comfort you at this time.
Our deepest sympathies to Barbara and the entire Marks
Family
Dave was more than a friend he was a mentor
And part of our family a very special person
We will never forget the trips to Lake George
Hershey the boat trips and the dinner parties
The one thing that we know for certain is that Dave is
In a very special place place where there is no pain
Or suffering
He truly is resting in peace
Dave We love you and you will live forever in our hearts
Love John and Joann
There are many rooms in God’s house and I’m sure Dave is on the top floor. We will miss our friend so very much but knowing he is in the arms of our Lord and Savior gives us comfort and joy. We will be there for you Barb no matter what. Love you.
Dave was always a bright light in our neighborhood with a ready smile and an infectious laugh. We will remember his kind and gentle ways as his spirit remains near us here on Joshua Cove that he loved so much. While sad that he has left us, I know with his great faith that he was welcomed into the arms of Jesus on his arrival in heaven. Hugs to all.
Dave was and always will be another part of the family to me. I will never forget being able to spend two weeks camping with him every year like he loved doing so much with not only his family but mine also. He will be dearly missed by anyone lucky enough to spend time with him.
Mr Marks was a great man and taught me many things. Including giving me the opportunity to work for him. I will forever be greatful for that and everything he has taught me and helped me with. He will be missed greatly.
Friends and neighbors in high school. Always wished for his success.
So sorry for the family.
So sorry to read the news of Dave’s passing. Love and prayers to Barb and the family. All throughout the 20 years of knowing him and serving with him on TD weekends, he was the essence of how God wants humans to behave. What a blessing to have had his friendship and presence in the community. Peace forever my friend.

Very sad to see Dave is gone. He will be greatly missed. He was wise, fun, and close to God. He is sure to be in a good place now.
David Marks meant so much to my family and myself. He treated my family so well over the twenty years I worked for and with him, I could never thank him enough. His mentorship in being a tradesman and business man will have a major impact on me for years to come. His example in hard work and honesty was second to none. Dave Marks will be missed.

I weep in sorrow for our loss; I weep in joy as I picture Dave in our Lord’s loving arms.
