Dawn I. D’Amato Ralston, 45, of Hamden, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 25, 2022, at Connecticut Hospice, Branford with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of James P. Ralston for twelve years. Dawn was born in New Haven on February 28, 1977 and was the daughter of Nathan and Dawn Broadfield D’Amato.  She was a graduate of Sacred Heart and Quinnipiac Universities. Dawn had worked as an Oncology nurse at St. Vincent’s Hospital, as Director of Hospice at Masonicare in Wallingford and most recently as the Director of Education at the CT Hospice, Branford for many years.  She was a recipient of the Florence Nightingale Nursing Award and was an active member of the 501st Star Wars Costuming group. Beloved mother of Jelisa Jimenez-Pellegrino and Robert Jimenez. Loving grandmother of Vincenzo DeNicola.  Sister of Jeffrey Robert (Nicole) D’Amato. Aunt of Lia, Jaxson, Colton, and Weston D’Amato. Granddaughter of Irene Eimutis and the late Reginald Broadfield.  The visiting hours will be on Friday, Sept. 30th from 4:00 to 5:30 PM in The Havens Family North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. A service will be conducted in the funeral home at 5:30 PM.  Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Connecticut Hospice, 100 Double Beach Road, Branford, CT 06405
