Deborah J. Thomas Augur, 62, of North Haven passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 10th, 2022 at MidState Medical Center, Meriden. She was the beloved wife of Mark Augur. Deborah was born in New Haven on February 28, 1960 and was the daughter of the late James Thomas SR. and Ruth Thomas Nycek and step-daughter of Barbara Thomas. She had worked for Rite Aid in North Haven for ten years and later as a baker for BJ’s Wholesale Club. Deborah enjoyed art, gardening, Harry Potter and baking. Mother of Melissa LeClair (Louis Fernandes), Brian Augur and Emily Ann Augur. Grandmother of Bethany and Andrew LeClair. Sister of Karen Thomas, Michael Thomas, Jim Thomas, half-brother Scott Thomas and the late Gina Thomas.
The visiting hours will be Tuesday, May 17th from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at The Havens Family, North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Elizabeth of the Trinity Parish at St. Therese Church, 555 Middletown Avenue, North Haven on Wednesday afternoon, May 18th at 12:00 PM. So many memories from Debbie’s birth and growing up years unto adult hood flood though my mind and heart. At this very moment I can see her smile and the joy and energy of conversation with quick whit that Mal so loved. Still enjoying some of her artistic ability in forms of cards and sketches which extended to her cake decoration skills as well. To our family and her friends as well we extend our love, up lifting each of you in prayer though this loss of some one so special.Although we will miss her, It is a comfort to know Debbie has continued her life’s journey to be embraced by the lord and welcomed into her new home, relieved of pain and enjoying peace and joy yet always staying connected to those close at heart.
