Dennis J. Coppola, 63, of East Haven, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 21, 2023 with his family by his side. Born in New Haven on December 14th, 1959, son of the late Mathew and Teresa Tondalo Coppola. A graduate of East Haven High School, Dennis was Senior Painter for 46 years at Yale University. Owner and operator of DJC Painting in East Haven. In his younger years he worked at Country Amusements and Woodwinds of Branford as a Chefs helper. Dennis was a member of the East Haven Stoners Club, enjoyed fishing, riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, traveling, antique cars and loved being in the sun. Most of all, Dennis enjoyed being with his close-knit family whom he loved unconditionally. Father of Angel and Stormy Coppola. Brother of Michael (Miriam) Coppola, Linda and James Coppola. Also survived by his former wife Rhonda Coppola. He was predeceased by his nephew Michael J. Coppola, Jr. Dennis would do anything no matter what is was and was always willing to help those in need. He truly had a heart of gold.
The visiting hours will be Friday, August 25th from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at The Havens Family North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday morning, August 26th at 10:00 in St. Pio of Pietrelcina Parish at Our Lady of Pompeii Church, Foxon Road, East Haven. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. If attending Dennis’s funeral on Saturday, he would truly love it if you drove your motorcycle.
