Dennis M. McGrath, 70, of Wallingford passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 12th, 2022, at Yale New Haven Hospital. He was the beloved husband of 38 years to Donna Adams McGrath. Dennis was born in New Haven on September 27, 1951, and was the son of the late Thomas and Eleanor McDonald McGrath. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Widner University, Chester, PA and had worked as a facilities manager for the former Humphrey Chemical, North Haven. Dennis loved to travel, was a self-taught gourmet chef and wine connoisseur who enjoyed sharing his culinary talents with his family and friends. Father of Bryan A. McGrath (Carolyn Traester). Brother of William McGrath (Margaret) and Susan Powell (Michael). Uncle of Lauren McGrath, Shane Powell (Natalie) and Kayla Powell
The visiting hours will be Friday, July 15th from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at The Havens Family, North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. A Catholic parlor service will be held on Saturday morning, July 16th at 10:00. Interment will follow in Cheshire Hillside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, 3 Landmark Square, Suite 330, Stamford, CT 06901.
