Diane S. Antal Bogert, 64, of East Haven formerly of Wallingford and Ranson, West Virginia, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 2, 2017 at The Village at Mariner’s Point with her son by her side. Diane was born in Baltimore, Maryland on January 25, 1952: daughter of William Antal and the late Beulah Douglas Antal; was a middle school English teacher for Jefferson County Schools, West Virginia where her students meant everything to her. Mother of David (Kimberly) Bogert. Loving grandmother of Dylan Bogert. Sister of Barbara (Dave Marsh) Jung.
Funeral Services will be conducted in the Faith United Methodist Church, North Haven on Saturday morning at 10:00. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. The visiting hours will be Friday from 4 to 8 pm in the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Faith United Methodist Church, 81 Clintonville Road, North Haven, CT 06473.
We are heartbroken over the loss of Diane, but our memories of her (especially all of the fun Uno games!) will always bring a smile to our faces.

I am so sorry for your loss I was lucky enough to have her as a teacher,she was the most funniest teacher and was always joking around with us students but at the same time cared about our education… I hope you guys remember the good times you all shared it will help get you through.
Remember the happy days and move forward with that love in your heart. God has a plan for all of us but we only learn what that is as we live our lives. Prayers are sent for you and your family.

I have such fond memories of all the Vacation Bible Schools she served at. Many hot evenings during her summer break she dedicated to teaching others about God’s love and salvation. What a testament to her life! She’s greatly missed.
I write this in memory of Diane, who loved her students and made such a difference in their lives. We have missed you, Diane…your kindness and humor and candor. Rest in peace. You will not be forgotten.

I am a former fellow teacher at Charles Town Middle School. I remember Diane as having a feisty, fun-loving personality. We shared many laughs about our teaching experiences. She truly cared about her students.

I am sorry to hear of Diane’s passing. As a sixth grade English teacher at CTMS, I worked with her at different meetings on Faculty Senate days. I will always remember her sense of humor and how she addressed me as Brashears. May she rest in peace.

I am so sorry for your loss. Both of my girls (Samantha ’07 & Madison ’14) had her at CTMS. They loved her. The world lost a wonderful caring person, but heaven gained an angel.

I had the pleasure of knowing and working with Diane at CTMS. We were on the same team and also traveled together to a conference. She was such a wonderful and kind person and she has been greatly missed.
I am in shock and I am so sorry for your loss. I did Diane’s hair while she was living in Ranson, WV, she was such a sweetheart and going to be missed by many. Her student’s and her family were everything to her.
Diane’s family, I was a friend of Diane all thru high school at Overlea Senior in Baltimore. She always talked of being a teacher. Reading the tributes to her I am so happy she did , I always knew she would be great! I miss her sweet smile. She was a good friend .
