Dolores A. Cornwall Johns, 91, of Wallingford, formerly of Evergreen Place, North Haven, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 9th, 2021, at the Connecticut Baptist Home, Meriden with her family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Frederick J. Johns. Dolores was born in New Haven on August 17, 1929, and was the daughter of the late Frederick and Viola Sylvester Cornwall. She had worked as a teacher’s aide for children day care. Mother of Timothy (Cathy) Johns, Kevin (Tracy) Johns, Craig (Erika) Johns and the late Linda Maestrini. Sister of Richard (Elaine) Cornwall, Nancy (Stephen) Levay, Carol (Richard) Weber and the late Marilyn Ard, Donald, and James Cornwall. Sister-in-law of Mary Cornwall. Also survived by 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. The family would like to extend a “Special Thank You” to all the nurses and staff at the CT Baptist Home for all the comfort and excellent care they provided.
The visiting hours will be Monday, June 14th from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at The Havens Family, North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday morning, June 15th at 10:00 in the Church of the Resurrection, Wallingford. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Church of the Resurrection Building Fund, 115 Pond Hill Road, Wallingford, CT 06492.

I am so sorry for your loss. I loved your mother very much. Before she became ill she loved spending Christmas Eve with us and going to lunch and riding in the convertible. I know she is resting in peace in the arms of God.
