Dolores M. Liguori Esparo, 80, of North Haven passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 7, 2023, at her home with her family by her side. She was the beloved wife of 60 years to James Esparo. Dolores was born in New Haven on April 8, 1942 and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Julia Giordano Liguori. She attended State Academy of Hairdressing in New Haven after high school. She had worked for the former Rudy’s Beauty Salon in Westville as a hairdresser for many years. Dolores enjoyed cooking, cleaning, baking for the holidays, being outdoors, especially cutting the lawn on her tractor. She was an active parishioner at St. Barnabas Church and oversaw alter care for many years. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, most of all her grandchildren whom she loved unconditionally. Beloved mother of Roseann (Michael) Esposito and Joseph Esparo. Loving grandmother of Jason and Mark Esposito, Luke, and Lilliana Esparo. Great grandmother of Jack Esposito. Also survived by her sister Judy Riley.
The visiting hours will be on Thursday morning, Jan. 12th from 10:00 to 11:30 at The Havens Family, North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Elizabeth of the Trinity Parish at St. Barnabas Church at 12 noon. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery.

I have been friends with her son for over 30 years and there are not enough words to describe the wonderful women Mrs. Esparo is. She is the nicest, most caring, selfless and positive person I have ever come in contact with. She was a special women and will be greatly missed. Rest in Peace Mrs. Esparo.
