Donald V. Tenedine, Sr., 85, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 28th, 2023 at Apple Rehab, Guilford. A former resident of his beloved North Haven where he lived on Maple Avenue for many years. He was the husband of Diane Giammattei Tenedine. Donald was born in North Haven on February 7, 1938 and was the son of the late George E. Tenedine, Sr. and Geannette Mastrianni Tenedine. A member of Operating Engineers Local #478, Donald was a heavy machine operator for L.G. DeFeLice and Fusco-Amatruda. He was a car and gun enthusiast, enjoying NASCAR and held a Federal Firearms License. Donald loved going to auctions and tag sales, was an animal lover, especially dogs and cats, but most of all being with his family who he loved unconditionally. Father of Lisa Hill, David (Cathy) Tenedine, Donald (Debbie) Tenedine, Jr. and Greg Tenedine. Grandfather of Justin Hill, Ryan (Courtney) Tenedine, Josh Tenedine, Victoria Tenedine and Anna Tenedine. Also survived by several great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his brother George E. Tenedine, Jr.
The visiting hours will be Tuesday, August 1st from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at The Havens Family North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
